"....eh ben, il y a des momens, voyez-vous, ou je n'le troquerais pas pour tout autre...Non vrai: je n'le troquerais pas pour tout autre"

Les deux journées, ou Le porteur d'eau (The Two Days, or The Water Carrier) was an opéra comique (a mixture of spoken dialogue and songs) in three acts by Luigi Cherubini, with a libretto by Jean-Nicolas Bouilly. It was first performed at the Théâtre Feydeau in Paris on 16th January 1800. This design was created by Adrien Joly (1776-1839) and appears to be part of a series of prints published by Martinet, Rue du Coq, of which this example is labelled as number 42. It is part of the Harry Beard Collection.
