Physical description
Portrait of William Shakespeare, head and shoulders, in an oval, with the words 'Coote's' above and 'Shakspeare Quadrille' beneath. Shakespeare is surrounded by roundels containing drawings of scenes from his plays. To left: Hamlet, Twelfth Night and The Merry Wives of Windsor. To right: Macbeth, As You Like It and A Midsummer Night's Dream. At top a representation of Fame with trumpet and laurel wreath, at bottom Shakespeare's birthplace. The price (4/-) is given in the lower right hand corner with the prices of sheet music for the Quadrille in arrangements for duet, septet, orchestra and military band.
