Mr Vautour was written by the French composer, dramatist, and song-writer Marc-Antoine Madeleine Désaugiers (1772 -1827) in 1811. This design was created by Adrien Joly (1776-1839) and appears to be part of a series of prints published by Martinet, rue du Coq, of which this example is labelled No. 1.
The design is part of the Harry Beard Collection.
