Le mineur d'Aubervald was a melodrama in three acts "en prose et à grand spectacle". It was first performed at the Théâtre de l'Ambigu-Comique on 25th April 1820.

Physical description | This full length coloured lithograph shows an actor dressed in a knee length white tunic, decorated with a strip of braid at the centre front. Over this he wears a dark blue coat, also trimmed with braid and with dark brown fur at the centre front and cuffs. The tunic is also trimmed with fur. The man stands with his right arm crossed over his chest and his head slightly bowed as if warding off a blow. |
