The text at the top of the print indicates that it is No.301 of a series. It appears to be associated with a production at the Porte St Martin.

Peau d'Ane is a traditional French fairytale in which a beautiful princess escapes an unhappy marriage by disguising herself in a donkey skin and running into the forest. The most famous version was written by Charles Perrault and published in 1694.
