Place of origin |
A coloured lithograph of the actress Mme. Dupuis in the role of Louison in Marquise de Pretintaille, Palais Royal.
The text at the top of the print indicates that it is No.59 of a series. It appears to have been connected with a production at Palais Royal.
The Marquise de Pretintaille appears to have been a comedy and farce in one act. It was first performed in Paris at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal, on 23rd April 1836. It appears to have been a musical or even operatic production with a libretto written by Dumanoir (1806-1865) and Jean-François-Alfred Bayard (1796-1853).
The print is part of the Harry Beard Collection.
