Object history | Part of a set C.150 to F-1977. Supplied for the Cunard Steam Shipping Co., by Stoniers of Liverpool in 1936. George Clews & Co. was one of a number of firms that made ‘Cube’ teapots and accessories for domestic and commercial use. Large orders of ceramics were supplied by the firm for ocean liners including the Queen Mary (1936), Mauritania (1939) and the Queen Elizabeth (1946). |
