Print
ca. late 18th century (published)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

A lithograph of an unnamed actor, labelled 'Levassor', 'Oscar', 'L'Enfant Carnival '. It appears to have been drawn by the artist Alexandre Lacauchie and printed by J. Rigo et Cie. It is not dated but the costume resembles the fashions of the late 18th century.

The handwritten notes, 'Oscar', and 'L'Enfant Carnival' could perhaps refer to the character and play that the drawing is intended to represent, though this has not proved possible to confirm.

The lithograph is part of the Harry Beard Collection
