One of a collection of 26 theatrical lithographs. This print shows one of the great Arlequins of the Comédie Italienne, Carlo Bertinazzi, known as Le Carlin (1713-1783). He is shown in the role of Arlequin Soldat in Arlequin, Soldat, Enfant &c'.

The lithographer is not named but all the lithographs appear to have been published by Robert Sayer, London (1772).

One of a bound collection of lithographs of French Dramatic Characters, published by Robert Sayer, London, 1772. This shows the actor Carlo Bertinazzi in the role of Arlequin Soldat in Arlequin, Statue, Enfant &c. Harry Beard Collection.
Physical description
Printed in the centre of the page this full length lithograph shows a man in a harlequin costume. He is leaning to his left and gesturing towards the ground with a short staff which he carries in his right hand. His face is masked and he wears a rough wig with a thin plaited tail.
