One of a collection of 26 theatrical lithographs. This shows the actor Jean Louis Laruette (1731-1792) in the role of Colas in the play Les Deux Chasseurs. Laruette who was a very able musician was a member of the 'Comédie Italianne' from 1762 until his retirement in 1778.

The lithographer is not named but all the lithographs appear to have been published by Robert Sayer, London (1772).

Printed in the centre of the page this full length lithograph shows a man dressed in a loose overcoat, patched trousers and a battered hat. He is carrying a long gun under his right arm.
