One of a collection of 26 theatrical lithographs. This shows the two actors Mr. Préville and Mr. Auger in the roles of Mtre. Sangsue and Mtre. Brigandeau in Le Mecure-galant, both of whom were members of the Comédie-Française.

A caption below the image reads "Au mois de Juin dernier un mémoire de fraix/Pensa dans un cachot te faire mettre au frais".

The lithographer is not named but all the lithographs appear to have been published by Robert Sayer, London (1772).

Printed in the centre of the page this full length lithograph shows two men facing one another. Both are dressed in full bottomed wigs and loose robes/cloaks worn over tight knee breeches.
