One of a collection of 26 theatrical lithographs. This shows the actor Molé in the role of Le Marquis in Le Dissipateur.

The lithographer is not named but all the lithographs appear to have been published by Robert Sayer, London (1772).

François Molé first performed with the Comédie-Française in 1754, joining the company six years later. From 1760 to 1801, he created no less than 126 roles with great success excelling in comedy and the roles of heroes and lovers.

Printed in the centre of the page this full length lithograph shows a profile image of a man, both hands outstretched dressed in the knee breeches and three quarter length jacket of a rich late eighteenth century gentleman.
