Sheet music for the songs that were part of a melodramatic piece entitled The Victory and Death of of Lord Viscount Nelson, written by Richard Cumberland Esqr. (1732-1811).
The piece was performed at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane to commemorate Nelson's death at the Battle of Trafalgar. The music was composed and sung by the Tenor Mr. John Braham (1777-1856).
An advertisement for an epigram on Lord Nelson's Victory and Death spoken by the actor Mr. Richard Wroughton (1748-1822) is also advertised on the front cover.
