Latchets for ribbon-tying over peaked tongue. Louis heels covered in kid leather, leather welt and sole. Shoe is lined with fine canvas.

These shoes and the dress to which they match belong to miss Alice Thorold at Aixwold Hall, Caistor. Married 1st Wrightson 2nd Myers at Shipley Hall in Leeds N/.../ deceased c. 1806. (Hand-written inscription on heel of shoe B.)
