The front sheet is decorated with a series of illustrations. At the centre is a gentleman in a dark blue suit, the jacket of which flares out at the hips. An illustration at the top right shows a gentleman hunched into a checked coat as he sits on a wooden bench waiting for a train. Below this a gentleman stands on a seashore gazing towards the ocean. The final image, in the bottom left hand corner, shows a group of soldiers on a rocky mountain, all carry rifles and wear hats and thick jackets.
The back sheet is printed with a list of Francis, Day & Hunter's 'Newest Comic Songs', its inner cover is printed with the lyrics for the song and music and words for the first verse and chorus.
