The front sheet is cover with a pale blue wash and illustrated with a colour lithograph drawn by the artist Sidney Kent. It shows a man with ginger hair and beard, loose fitting brown trousers, a plain black coat and a striped waistcoat. He holds a hefty wooden stick in his right hand. A smaller illustration at the top right of the page shows the same man being reprimanded by a woman in a pale blue dress with a white lace colour and a black hat trimmed with a pale orange plume.

The back sheet is printed has with a list of Francis & Day and Hunter's 'Newest Popular Songs' and the inner cover is printed with the lyrics.
