Little Davis is a children's clothing label made by Christa Davis who designs clothing for babies, children and women as well as accessories at her studio in Hackney. Many of her clothes use vintage fabrics and garments deconstructed and then remade into unusual and beautiful new designs.

Two-layer skirt in canvas, pin-striped linen and ribbon, by Little Davis (Christa Davis), London, 2008
Physical description
Skirt made from stiff vintage canvas fabric. There are two skirts, the longer under skirt is made of linen with turquoise and cream pin stripes on a grey ground, falling to just below knee length. The top layer of the skirt, based on a traditional peg skirt design, is much shorter and more flared and has been folded up and sewn into sections to form a complete surround of pockets on the upper layer. The upper edges of the pockets have an applied ribbon trim of horizontal cream, green and red stripes. The skirt has a zip fastening at the rear and a fixed waist band.
