Wood engraving in black on yellow China paper entitled, 'Actor, "Hamlet" Act II, Sc.3', by Edward Gordon Craig, 1912. Reproduced in the Cranach Press Hamlet, p.72. Also known as 'Second Player' / 'Player Queen'. Different copies had differing levels of coloration applied by hand. The earlier of two woodblocks on the same theme, the second, later, woodblock treats the figure differently (two hands revealed and more elaborate headdress).

This print, from Gordon Craig's personal archive, was acquired by the director and collector, Jason Buzas, from the family of Gordon Craig, via Craig's grandson, Tom.
