This poster, dating from 1911, advertises performances by a pierrot troupe, the Serenaders, who gave 'Three Grand Performances' daily at Olympia on the Old Exhibition Ground in Nottingham. It is part of a collection of posters and handbills made by the variety artiste Arthur Astill (1887-1962), who began his career with the Serenaders and is probably one of the three children shown seated in the photograph on the poster.
