This pull along toy is a good example of the traditional wooden toys produced by the British company Escor Toys Ltd., who placed emphasis on good design, durability and the play value of their toys. It is in the form of a stylised bus with seven figures, and is made from wood, which has been painted in bright colours and then varnished. It was bought in the mid-1960's.

Object history
This toy was produced by Escor Toys Ltd. It was bought by the donors for their children in the mid 1960's and was selected by the family because of its good design, which emphasises durability and learning and development. It has been played with by the donors' children and grandchildren.

Historical significance: This toy is a good example of the type of traditional, wooden learning toys produced by the ethical British company Escor, demonstrating a typical simplicity of design and durability.
