Place of origin |
Bound sheet music for Bonnie Scotland I adore thee. Described as 'The Celebrated Companion to The Banners of Blue. It was apparently written and composed expressly for, and sung by, Madame Vestris.
The cover sheet features an illustration of the singer Madame Vestris. Standing in the midst of a mountain landscape. She is dressed in a fitted military style jacket and knee length kilt, with a plaid cloak across her back. Her legs are bare apart from a pair of shin high tartan stockings. Her left arm is upraised and in her right she carries a feather trimmed hat. This illustration appears to have been signed by the artist 'M. Gáuci Lil'.
