Young child's round cap of dark brown satin lined with ivory-coloured silk, the edge piped with ivory-coloured satin. An internal drawstring gathers it into a frilled brim, with a double-frilled band of lace and ribbon-trimmed net stitched beneath, at the top of the head. The cap is surmounted with a cockade of lace and ribbon-trimmed net which is backed with a disc of white buckram, and fastens beneath the chin with tying strings of broad ivory-coloured ribbon.

Physical description
Young child's round cap of dark brown satin lined with ivory-coloured silk, the edge piped with ivory-coloured satin.
