This lithograph shows Charles S.Stratton also known as General Tom Thumb 'in his character of Napoleon'. The caption also claims that he is 12 years old, 25 inches high and weighs only 15 pounds.
Trained to sing and dance by the American showman P.T. Barnum, Stratton was born in circa 1833 and successfully marketed throughout America and Europe. He appeared twice before Queen Victoria in 1844.
