The image shows a dancer dressed as a sunflower. Her costume, which is predominantly black, consists of a tightly fitting bodice with wide shoulders and puffed sleeves. The neckline is trimmed with lace and yellow petal shaped pieces and a similar trim is used at the base of the bodice. Her skirt is tightly fitted and reaches to her shin. It is decorated with a large image of a sunflower on the right. Another sunflower is used to decorate the hat she wears tilted on the side of her head. Her hat is held in place by two over-sized hat pins and secured with a ribbon under her chin. She also wears pale yellow elbow length gloves and carries a matching parasol with a long handle, reaching up to her shoulder, which is decorated with another bunch of sunflowers and a large pale white ribbon.
