Plate 19, Sylphe, Zélindor, Roi des Sylphes. The dancer is dressed in a loosely fitted white gown which leaves the left half of their chest exposed. The dancer wears a blue sash around their waist and the skirt of their gown is gathered in to a swathe of fabric at the left hip and decorated with a spray of green and blue flowers. Both sleeves finish just above the elbow, the left is part of the main structure of the gown, but the right is a separate part stretching from shoulder to elbow. The dancer wears a headdress of green and blue feathers. Harry Beard Collection.
