Taken from a set of illustrations from the designs of Leon Bakst for The Sleeping Princess which were originally published by Ben Brothers in 1923, this illustration is labelled 'Planche XXXI: 'Le Chateau ou dort la Belle Princesse'. The print is folder in two, with the fold along the centre. It shows a landscape painted in tones of purple, blue and grey. Large hills and a dark forest is visible in the foreground with the white turreted castle at its centre. Harry Beard Collection.

Only 1000 copies of the original, limited edition, book were published by Benn Brothers.
