This bracelet, mounted with a miniature of Queen Adelaide painted by William Essex, miniature painter to King William and Queen Adelaide, was probably a gift by the Queen to a lady-in-waiting, a member of the Court.

Object history	The enamel miniature of Queen Adelaide (1792-1844) is signed on the back by William Essex and dated 1834. William Essex was miniature painter to William IV and Queen Adelaide. The bracelet was almost certainly made for presentation to an unknown recipient.
