Cameraless Photography Nick Veasey (b.1962) Puffa Jacket 2008 Digital C-type print 41.9 x 29.7 cm Given by the artist Museum no. E.403-2009 Veasey’s X-ray artworks counter a world obsessed with surface appearance by stripping back the layers to show what is hidden beneath. This image provides a fresh look at fashion illustration, and was part of a magazine feature documenting the winners of the Sportswear International Fashion Awards. The X-ray reveals the tracks and folds of material and the skeletal network of stitches that shape a jacket.
