Beech frame with replacement plywood seat. The chair back formed of two uprights which continue down in one curve to form the back legs. The back rest is a single seat of shaped and moulded ply. The seat is circular enclosed by a circular band of bent wood; below this, the stretchers are also in the form of a circular band of bent beech. Lettered in gold on the back rest with the words 'KINGS OWN TEA', 'John E. Esslemont, Ltd.' and also the words 'The sign of good tea' on either side of a diamond enclosing the letters 'J E T E A'.
