Woman’s stomacher of fine bleached linen, lined with fine bleached linen. It is embroidered with coloured silk twist in satin, long and short stitches, in a pattern of carnations, against a ground of curvilinear stems backstitched in yellow silk floss. It is triangular in shape with 2 short narrow skirts on each side of the lower point, all cut in one piece. The edges are bound with linen tape and there are 3 short loops of cream silk grosgrain ribbon on each side for fastening.
