Physical description
Steel engraving depicting John Philip Kemble in the character of Hamlet, 1843. It features a half length image of Kemble whose gaze is directed away from the viewer. He is dressed in a cloak trimmed with fur, and is wearing a large medallion around his neck. A sword hilt protrudes from the sash which runs diagonally across his chest.
