Satirical engraving, entitled The Citizen at Vauxhall, depicting a family at Vauxhall Gardens. At centre, a woman ties a kerchief round her husband's neck. Their daughter surveys the scene, hiding her face behind her fan. Various figures move around them. To left, a smiling man stands with his left hand concealed in his waistcoat. To right, a waiter carries glasses and a bottle. In the background, left, is an elaborate structure, the Orchestra, with two musicians at the upper level, and, right, two men sit at a table under trees, with a covered walk in the background.
