Hand coloured etching depicting John Liston (1776-1846) in the character of Paul Pry, 1825. Liston is shown in profile and is dressed in a pale blue jacket and white and blue striped pantaloons with Hessian boots. He is also wearing a cream coloured top hat and a pair of spectacles are suspended from a cord. His right hand is outretched and he is carrying a furled umbrella in his left hand.
