| Object history | When acquired by the Museum in 1868, the portrait was described as being by Mary Moser, a painter, who was well-known to Queen Charlotte. Her father, George Michael Moser, was a leading painter of enamels in this style, but confirmed examples of Mary Moser working in this style appear to be lacking. |
