Star Wars: A New Hope was released in 1977. The first film of George Lucas' trilogies was the most successful in American history and grossed over $290 million. Sequels released in 1980 and 1983 were equally successful. The films captured their imagination and paved the way for the merchandising that accompanies many films today. A whole host of toy figures, spacecrafts and toy guns were available, as well as costumes, stationery, bedroom accessories and slippers.

Darth Maul first appears as a character in the 1999 film' The Phantom Menace' and plays the main villain.

Physical description
A boxed Star Wars Sith Speeder and Darth Maul. The figure is dressed in a black cape and is holding a red probe. It is also dressed in black gloves and boots and has a painted red face. The box is mainly black with highlights of red. There is an acrylic window to view the figure. The words Star Wars are printed in gold along the top and Sith Speeder and Darth Maul along the bottom in white. This is repeated on the top and sides of the box.
