Place of origin |
The influence of Paris extended across Europe. Many boxes previously thought to have been Swiss are now believed to have been made in Germany. Julia Clarke has proposed that the many boxes by the maker 'FJ', of whom there is no trace in the Geneva records, may well have been made in Germany.
