Enamelled gold box, with maker's mark for Jean Georges Rémond. The lid of the box is mounted with a plaque painted in enamel with a seated woman sketching a figure of Cupid on a plinth. The lid, base and sides of the box are decorated with guilloché enamel (translucent enamel applied over engine-turning) and with garlands of vine leaves and grapes executed in gold paillons.
