Pharmacy, a restaurant in Notting Hill, was open from 1998 to 2003, and was for a time the most fashionable eaterie in London. Artist Damien Hirst designed the interiors, mainly inspired by pharmaceutical products. Hirst has often used a pharmaceutical or medical theme in his works. Pharmacy restaurant was a venture in which art became business and complex visual ideas became branding.
This business card for Pharmacy was designed by Barnbrook Design, a well-established London design studio, founded in 1990. Their collaboration with Damien Hirst included designs for Hirst’s books, limited edition prints and Pharmacy restaurant.
