Baby's embroidered bib of unlined white waffle cotton. The bib is of the bavoir type characteristic of France, where the otherwise circular bib is cut with a horizontal band extending from each side of the lower edge to fasten at the waist back. The bib has a circular neck piped in white cotton tape with a buttonhole and stitched loop at the neck back, and has irregularly scalloped edges worked with white buttonhole stitch incoporating cutwork. The word 'Bébé' is embroidered at the waist centre in white threads using stem stitch with cutwork embellishments.
