Set of 13 wooden building blocks with a paper guide sheet and original wooden box. Each block carries part of an etching and can be assembled to create an image of Buckingham Palace. The box has a sliding lid with an etched pictorial label showing the palace in a garden setting, with men, women and children walking in front a pond in which several swans can be seen swimming. The image on the guide sheet is similar but is more simple.

Production
The image on the lid shows Buckingham Palace before the courtyards were enclosed and with the Marble Arch in its original location at the front. This means the set was probably made before 1847 when the remodelling of the palace was begun and the Marble Arch removed to a corner of Hyde Park.
