Doll with bisque socket head on composition body and limbs; light brown shoulder-length wig attached to card pate; fixed brown glass eyes with painted brows and lashes; and open mouth with teeth. The doll represents a caucasian female wearing Italian regional dress (Abruzzi): a white cotton blouse with wrist length sleeves, trimmed with lace; a mid-calf skirt of dark green velvet with a band of bright yellow ribbon just above the hem; a black velvet bodice bound with bright yellow ribbon fastening over the shoulders with red ribbons and at the front with emerald green laces; a bottle green woollen apron with bands of ric-rac braid and coloured wool embroidery; a triangular red cloth shawl edged in green ribbon (pinned across at the back of the skirt); a lace-trimmed white cotton head-dress; white knee-length stockings; and brown leather sandals laced to the knee with bright red strings. The doll also wears lace-edged white cotton drawers and petticoat.
