Place of origin |
These Punch and Judy finger puppets come packaged in a box which doubles as their theatre. Simply printed, these toys were made for children in the late twentieth century.
By the 1980s, Punch and Judy was represented as being slightly old-fashioned, though charming. The label on the back of the box promotes the traditional appeal of the Punch and Judy show, including it with "sandcastles and donkey rides" as an essential part of the British summer.
