white crad box printed in cilours to show photographs of the toy and others in the range, details of the maker and the guarantee signed by Heinz H Lorenz. Fire engine, red block base with a yellow 'smile' pianted on the front end; two yellow cones painted with black dots mounted at the front end as 'eyes'/ head lamps. Behind these is a smaller red block with a blue cone on the top. The rest of the base has been drilled with four large holes and one small hole to take the 'firemen' and the ladder support. The whole is mounted on four black wheels held on by large steel nails. A ladeer made of natural wood and six rungs. A ladder support of natural wood with double hook shape with a post which fits into the small hole on the engine. When the ladder is flat is fits into the upper hook shape and lies across the roof of the engine. When the ladder is raised, the bottom rung slides over the support and hooks into the underside hook with the second rung supported by the hooks into the underside hook with the second rung supported by the upper hook. In this position the ladder will swivel in all directions. Four figures, stumps of wood painted blue, with the top part turned and carved into 'heads'. These fit into large holes in the engine. Two have grooves cut into the base to allow figures that stand on the ladder rungs.
