Tuck's Half-Mask

Set of nine masks made from chromolithographed pressed card. Each shows the upper part of a human face including hair and headwear. Each is shaped at the lower edge to fit over the wearer's nose, and there are holes for eyes corresponding to the pupils of the printed eyes. Black cotton tapes, to tie around the wearer's head, are attached to each side of the mask by gummed paper circles. The maker's mark is printed on the reverse of each mask, with the title and series number.

1. No. 15 'A Fair Motorist' - dark brown hair, a chiffon scarf over a flat blue/black hat.
2. No. 20 'The Counsel' - a short white lawyer's wig.
3. No. 23 'La Jolie Pierette' - brown hair, red pointed hat with red, pink and white pompoms.
4. No. 30 'The Beauty of the Harem' - black hair; a red, white and green turban with jewelled plume and pearls.
5. No. 34 'The Lady Mephisto' - black hair, red cap with feather, flower, black horns and green trim at the front with pendant jewel.
6. No. 42 'Nurse' - brown hair, white cap with black bow.
7. No. 43 'Napoleon' - black bicorn hat.
8. No. 45 'Yachting Girl' - black hair, white yachting cap with red pennant on band.
9. No. 46 'A Toreador' - yellow band under black hat with red pompoms.
