'Dolly's Knitting' set consisting of a French knitting set and its original packaging.

A cardboard box with a lid covered in green paper and a printed pictorial label showing objects made from French knitting (or tatting). Inside the box is a French doll of turned and painted wood woth a central shaft and four nails at the top end around the hole. The 'doll' is painted to represent a woman in a blue skirt and maroon bodice. There is a length of French knitting in various coloured wools. There is also a sewing card and embroidery silks (possibly not original to the set).
