Coffer of carved walnut inlaid with holly. In in middle of the moulded lid is a raised panel inlaid with a leafy device. The front panel of the coffer is inlaid with a cartouche amid floral scrollwork and each of the side panels with a circle enclosing a rosette; below each panel is a band of gadroons. The front angles are carved with acanthus leafage. Each of the four feet is in the shape of a lion’s paw. The inside is lined with ornamental green velvet.

The back apparently oak (a single plank).
Right side moulding missing from lid.
