This pair of girls drawers were produced by Stapley and Smith in the 1920s. Made from a fine linen, they have short legs, edged with lace and pin-tucks. The waistband has buttonholes so that a vest or bodice could be attached. It is believed that the drawers were bought for the donor to grow into, but were probably never worn due to changes in underwear fashions.
