Child's tea set consisting of a teapot and lid, milk jug, lidded sugar bowl, six plates, six cups and six saucers. The set is hand-painted, decorated with a picture of a girl on a cart, full of flowers and boxes, which is being drawn by a dog. On the other side of the teapot, jug and sugar bowl and on each saucer is a picture of a house and trees. On the other side of the cups a patch of various greens, probably representing trees. All pieces are decorated with gold lines.

Object history
This set was given to the donor as a Christmas in about 1925. The donor, born Betty May Tweddell, was born 30/07/1915 in Winnipeg, Canada. It was given to the Museum in 1982 [82/1585].
Production
The Nippon 'Rising Sun' mark probably means this set was made by Noritake.
