This is a plaster cast of Composite capitals and entablature, one of four plaster casts made by the British Museum casting department using ex-V&A moulds dating from the early 1900s in the Doric, Ionic, Corinthian and Composite style. They were made in 1991 for display in the Ornament Gallery of the Museum.
The order shown here is close to the type published by Vignola in 1562.
