Glazed porcelain figurine of Jenny Lind (1820-1887) as Marie in La Fille du Régiment, standing on a large decorative white base, the front of which is decorated with a bouquet of flowers and magenta corner decoration, and on the back of which is inscribed under-glaze 'La fille du regiment Jenny Lind'. She wears a grey feathered cap, a tight-fitting blue jacket with ochre epaulettes, and an ankle-length ochre skirt. A yellow drum is suspended from a strap around her waist, and she holds a drum stick in each hand.
